Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, the UK’s largest annual electronics and engineering show, returns to Farnborough from February 5th to 7th 2019. The UK’s longest-running and largest electronics exhibition looks set for a bumper year, with exhibitor registrations running 20% ahead of 2018.
Electronic components, production and subcontracting occupies roughly half the total exhibition space of the show, which the organisers expect to be at full capacity for 2019 following last years’ widely acclaimed move to a new permanent home in the purpose-built Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. As in previous years, visitors can expect to meet with a superb selection of manufacturers, vendors and service providers from all over the UK, continental Europe and beyond. The 2019 show has seen a remarkable 26% rise in bookings by non-UK exhibitors – predominantly from the electronics sector – giving the show a truly international dimension.
Some of the key electronics exhibitors at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2019 include Easby Electronics, Lemo UK, EC Electronics, Yamaichi, Pace Europe, Qualitetch Components, Schurter and Wurth Electronics UK. Cosel Europe will be hoping of a repeat of its Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2018 performance, which saw the firm close a €400,000 deal with a walk-up visitor to its stand at the show.
Several notable firms make a welcome return to Southern Manufacturing & Electronics after a number of years. Rapid Electronics, which last exhibited in 2008, will be showcasing its strategic brand partnerships and value added services, such as enclosure and cable customisation. New exhibitors for 2019 include OEM and custom display engineering specialists, Canvys. The firm designs and manufactures display products for a wide variety of sectors, including medical, entertainment and gaming, transportation, automation and industrial, military defence and aerospace, touchscreen displays, retail and air traffic control applications.
