JOT Automation Introduces a New Cutting Solution for PCB-panels

News

The production volumes of devices like smart phones and tablet PCs are booming and manufacturers are looking for solutions to speed up the development cycles and to overcome the capacity challenges in manufacturing.

JOT Router has been developed to answer this need. JOT Router, developed by leading supplier of production and test solutions, JOT Automation, is the most cost-effective and smallest inline routing solution for automated depaneling of PCBs used in smart devices like mobile phones, smart phones, tablet computers, PCs and computers, motherboards, automotive electronics, or basically any electronics product with high production quality requirements.

One of key benefits of the solution is the modular system architecture. JOT Router consists of a cutting unit, available both as single and dual spindle. JOT Router is also available with different options for material out feeding, including a tray feeder and flat belt conveyer. Automatic tray handling makes loading and unloading easy and the buffer helps balancing material flow in production line. JOT Router is designed for dust-free, accurate, and clean PCB depaneling. Precise product alignment and high cutting accuracy are verified by machine vision system, and the dust exhaust system keeps machine interiors dust-free. An easily adjustable dual spindle with motorized height adjustment enables remarkably accurate spindle location and optimized tool wearing.

With dual spindle the solution is faster and more flexible. The JOT Router has already raised a lot of interest from handset manufacturers prior to the official launch. The solution is now available in beta for selected customers and will be showcased for the first time at the Productronica Exhibition in Munich in November 2013. JOT Automation has long history in supplying routers for the electronics industry with portfolio of both desktop and inline routers that has been used to depanel more than billion PCBs.
