Antennas and advanced RF solutions provider, Taoglas, has completed the acquisition of Wireless Instruments (“QuWireless”), a specialist in high-performance antennas and antenna-enclosure systems for wireless communication devices.
The acquisition comes as demand grows for reliable wireless connectivity in outdoor, industrial and remote environments, driven by the expansion of 5G, private networks and IoT deployments. The two companies’ combined portfolio will further expand the range of supported devices, frequency bands, and form factors, giving customers greater flexibility when designing and deploying wireless systems.
“QuWireless gives us a really strong edge in how customers deploy connectivity in the field,” said Dermot O’Shea, CEO of Taoglas. “A lot of the challenge today isn’t just RF performance; it’s getting reliable and robust connectivity in place quickly, with controlled installation costs, especially outdoors. Their antenna enclosures take a lot of that complexity out and significantly decrease install time. When you combine that with our engineering capability and global reach, we can help customers deploy faster and get more consistent performance where it matters.”
QuWireless is headquartered in Poland. The company develops ‘all-in-one’ integrated products that house routers directly within the antenna enclosure. These designs greatly simplify the antenna and router installation process for outdoor applications.
“Our focus has always been on helping customers get stronger, more reliable connectivity, especially in locations where coverage is difficult. Joining Taoglas allows us to bring those designs to a much broader market and integrate them with a wider range of RF technologies,” said Michal Gorzad, QuWireless CEO. “
