Synov launches Synov-Proto, opening rapid electronic board prototyping

News

Lyon, France, headquartered, Synov Group, just launched Synov-Proto, an online rapid prototyping service for bare and assembled electronic boards. Open to all design offices, manufacturers and hardware start-ups in France, Synov-Proto lets customers order boards online, manufactured in Europe and delivered within 5 to 20 business days, with a direct path to series production in the group’s factories.

An electronic board never goes into series production without first going through a prototype. Yet this is where projects most often slow down: several quotes for a handful of units, lead times that are hard to guarantee, design files sent outside Europe for lack of a fast alternative. And when the project moves to industrialisation, the file is frequently taken over by another manufacturer, with files to rework, components to requalify and months lost.

Synov-Proto promises to address this break. The www.synov-proto.com platform lets customers upload their manufacturing files, get a quote and order online, for bare or assembled boards.

“Many of the projects we industrialize start elsewhere. With Synov-Proto, we want to support our customers from their very first board, so that the prototype is designed, from the outset, as the first step in industrialization. It is a concrete way to save development teams time and to secure their projects over the long term,” says Alix Joseph, Group Sales Director.

Synov-Proto is available internationally, supporting in several languages.
