Renesas has advanced its DDR5 Multiplexed Rank Dual In‑Line Memory Module (MRDIMM) offering to 16,000 mega transfers per second (MT/s) as a solution to the memory-hungry AI and HPC applications. That is 25% higher memory bandwidth than Renesas’s second-generation MRDIMMs – still at the existing DDR5 infrastructure – enabling server platforms can extract more performance without disruptive architectural changes.
In addition to performance gains, Renesas MRDIMM Gen 3 solutions are designed for greater power efficiency, which helps with the thermal and power constraints at system level.
