Cloud artificial intelligence (AI) architecture developer CloudMinds Technology is showing its revolutionary XR-1 robot at Mobile World Congress in Los Angeles this week.
XR-1 is one of the first-ever humanoid robots powered by cloud AI, commercial Sprint True Mobile 5G and proprietary vision-controlled grasping technology for service robots that also leverages human operator input for constant learning.

XR-1 is claimed to be a highly intelligent service-oriented humanoid robot, representing a new level of technology development and commercialisation in the area of intelligent service robotics. Among the technologies in it are CloudMinds’s Cloud Brain a hybrid operating platform, a “Nerve Network” or ultra-secure intranet, a proprietary Smart Compliant Actuator (SCA) technology for precision grasping capabilities, and over 30 proprietary smart joints. Each robot body has a central control unit that controls the joints and sensors, and a robot controller that connects the robot to the Cloud Brain/HARIX platform through the secure Nerve Network.
