Pulsiv Limited, the Cambridge (UK) innovator of power electronics & solar microinverter technology, has announced the appointment of Dr Tim Moore, former CTO of consumer tech brands, SharkNinja and ghd. On October 2nd, 2023, Dr Moore will transition from his current position as a non-executive director to a full-time role as Chief Product Officer. He will take responsibility for developing, expanding, and evolving the company’s innovative Pulsiv OSMIUM power conversion technology that significantly improves efficiency in power electronics designs to reduce the energy wasted by billions of devices. In addition, Dr Moore will lead the forthcoming launch of Pulsiv HORIZON, a new power architecture for maximising yields and overall efficiency in solar installations.
“Having been involved with Pulsiv since 2021, I have had the pleasure of seeing the excellent progress the company has made with their ground-breaking Pulsiv OSMIUM technology which improves the efficiency in power electronics designs to reduce energy waste. Optimising manufacturing costs while lowering energy bills for consumers is a key focus of virtually all OEMs today and Pulsiv OSMIUM technology helps address these difficult challenges. I’m equally excited to support the forthcoming launch of Pulsiv HORIZON at a time when the booming renewable energy industry can benefit from efficient, scalable, and competitive solutions to maximise solar yields,” said Moore.
Having served as Chief Technology Officer at household brands including SharkNinja and ghd, Moore brings a proven track record of developing and launching innovative technology-led consumer products to the global market. He also has considerable M&A (mergers and acquisitions) experience and has successfully sold businesses in both the private equity and corporate sectors.
“Tim has been a valuable member of our Board and I’m delighted that he has accepted this exciting new executive role. As we continue to expand the Pulsiv OSMIUM portfolio – and launch Pulsiv HORIZON – Tim will be responsible for deploying Pulsiv’s game-changing technology on a global scale. Anyone who knows Tim will recognise the value he brings and how such a role is perfectly suited to his wealth of experience,” said Pulsiv CEO, Darrel Kingham.
Since launching in September 2022, Pulsiv has gained widespread attention with its unique and award-winning technology for designing more energy efficient power supplies and battery chargers. Pulsiv OSMIUM microcontrollers and AC to DC front-end circuit configurations are already available, as well as reference designs to help to accelerate R&D.
