Inelco Hunter introduces new 4.3-inch IPS TFT display panel designed for industrial and embedded applications. It uses in-plane switching (IPS), a high-performance liquid crystal display (LCD) technology known for its superior colour accuracy and wide viewing angles. IPS liquid crystals rotate parallel to the display surface to improve light transmission. The TFT display uses active-matrix LCDs technology to provide sharp, high-contrast and fast-refreshing visuals.
The 4.3-inch size makes the panels ideal for applications requiring a smaller screen, such as point-of-sale screens, EV charging stations, industrial instrumentation, vending machines, smart home control panels and medical devices. The resolution is 800 x 480 RGB pixels with 1,000 nits brightness (1,000 cd/m2) and a 178° full viewing angle, normally black. The display has a parallel RGB interface with SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) configuration and a wide input voltage range of 5-15V.
An integrated V-Com (Common Voltage) makes for optimised display contrast and brightness. The Mean Time Between Failures is 50,000 (25°C, IF = 80mA). The operating temperature is -20°C to +70°C and the drive IC is an ST72568 (or compatible IC). The panel’s dimensions are 105mm x 67mm.
