AI-powered satellite platform provider, Antaris, is eyeing up the Japanese market next

News

AI powered satellite platform provider, Antaris, is planning expansion into Japan. Its AI-powered platform, Antaris Intelligence, has already been adopted by US, South Asian and Saudi Arabian government agencies and defence contractors. Its AI-powered solution aims to simplify the design, simulation, manufacturing and operation of satellites.

With the current state of the geopolitical environment, one of the fastest-growing and most important areas of space technology is the development of Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) constellations. Networks of satellites work together to observe the Earth and deliver persistent, near-real-time situational awareness. Increasingly regarded as critical infrastructure for defence and national security, these systems are attracting a growing share of the sector’s investment and driving critical technology innovation.

Japan is investing heavily in space and defence technologies at present, and maintains a robust satellite manufacturing base, including major players such as MELCO and NEC – Antaris plans to tap into this.

“Japan is already one of the world’s most important space markets and is making major investments in satellite-based ISR and communications capabilities,” said Tom Barton, Antaris CEO and Co-Founder.
