Dave Beck, Strategic Partnership Director EMEA with global ‘master’ distributor Waldom Electronics, has been appointed to the Leadership Group steering committee of the Electronic Components Supply Network (ecsn).
Ecsn (the Electronic Components Supply Network) was founded in 1970 as “a member managed, not-for-profit” industry association that supports the electronic components supply network through the entire product lifecycle from “cradle-to-grave-and-re-birth”. In the UK, ecsn’s manufacturer authorised distributor membership collectively accounts for over 85% of the Distributor Total Available Market (DTAM).
Announcing Beck’s appointment, ecsn Chairman Adam Fletcher, acknowledged Waldom’s unique position among manufacturer-authorised distributors of electronic components, where the company operates as a global ‘master’ distributor serving authorised distributors worldwide, representing over fifty of the industry’s leading manufacturers of interconnect, passive, and electromechanical (IP&E) components, representing over fifty of the industry’s leading manufacturers of interconnect, passive, and electromechanical (IP&E) components.
“As Waldom’s Strategic Partnership Director, Dave has a key role in developing and expanding relationships with distributors and supplier partners across the entire supply chain,” Fletcher said. “His extensive experience and insight will be a great asset to ecsn’s Leadership Group and the association’s wider membership.”
Beck joined Waldom Electronics in 2024 following a sterling 20+ year career with Farnell Electronics, where he held senior management positions in procurement, supplier management, and operations. He is credited with strengthening supplier collaboration, enhancing customer engagement, and driving growth across international markets.
