University College London (UCL) has embarked on developing wider industrial research-based partnership opportunities in Korea’s mobility sector.
UCL is well known for its research in advanced mobility and clean energy technologies, and Korea is widely recognised having one of the most advanced public transport networks in the world. It is also considered a global hub for mobility technology and it is a home to automotive leaders like Hyundai and Kia, which are pioneering electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
“There’s strong and growing demand among Korean companies for research partnerships with globally respected universities such as UCL,” said Narai Kim, Managing Director of Intralink Korea.
To facilitate this commercial relationship with Korea, UCL appointed international business consultancy Intralink. Its Seoul-based team will initiate discussions on UCL’s behalf with Korean companies in the automotive, shipbuilding and related technology sectors to identify partnership opportunities aligned with UCL’s strengths in battery design, energy systems and digital mobility applications.
