Quartzteq launches the next version of its LIFEVIEW Partial Discharge Analyser (PDA) solution for permanent online condition monitoring and rotating machinery diagnostics. LIFEVIEW PDA III introduces a range of refinements designed to enhance performance, durability and connectivity for monitoring critical rotating machines. Asset owners can now benefit from simplified maintenance, improved operational insights and more flexible integration, enabling informed decisions to be made while maximising machine availability and reliability.
“The enhanced PDA III features a new modular design, enhanced processing power and expanded connectivity, giving operators even greater control and flexibility without the need for physical in-situ inspections,” said Karim Abdelnour, Business Manager for Quartzteq.
Designed for demanding environments the PDA III has an all new aluminum enclosure that retains the robust IP66 rating, providing protection against dust, moisture and mechanical stress as well as meeting IEC 61010-1 safety standards. The updated fabricated aluminium enclosure, crafted by TS Metals, also part of the Quartzelec Group, will improve heat dissipation in harsh industrial environments and enables a modular internal architecture which simplifies installation and improves accessibility for maintenance and future upgrades. An integrated LCD display offers intuitive access to real-time machine health data, trends, and alarm levels delivering actionable data at a glance.
Powered by a high‑performance, industrial‑grade 3.5” single‑board computer, the LIFEVIEW PDA III delivers next‑generation reliability, processing power and connectivity for continuous machine diagnostics. At the heart of the system is a fully redesigned, purpose‑written software suite developed specifically to analyse partial discharge, shaft voltage and magnetic flux measurements with greater precision, speed and clarity. Working in parallel with Quartzteq’s custom‑engineered proprietary DAQ card, which provides accurate nine‑channel measurement with 16‑bit analogue‑to‑digital conversion, the new software intelligently processes, visualises and interprets high‑resolution data captured over a fast Ethernet connection. Users benefit from advanced analysis tools, intuitive visual dashboards and secure access to real‑time and historical data both locally and remotely.
Connectivity is seamless via Ethernet (RJ45), USB, optional WiFi (IEEE 802.11), and Modbus TCP/IP modules, while integration with SCADA and user-friendly remote access through a web-browser ensures backward compatibility and streamlined diagnostics.
