JD Photo-Tools released a new product range – optical targets onto microscope slidesfor calibration of inspection and vision equipment. The company has produced a set of 5 different optical targets that customers can purchase in their on-line store. Each target has different applications, and of course the company still offers a bespoke service to those that need custom designs to their own specifications.
Development of new products and services has always been a key part of the company’s philosophy, and has seen the demand for these types of products grow over the past few years. Due partly to this customer demand, the company set about manufacturing a set of 5 common designs , which include microscope stage micrometers, Grid distortion targets, Grid Array targets, Resolution Targets and Cell Finders.
John Dingley, the companies Business Development Manager, commented about the new application…” Our customers mostly use our bespoke service, where they send us designs to image directly onto photomask blanks or slides. However, we found that certain designs were regularly cropping up in slightly different formats, and we therefore decided to make some standard products that customers could buy off-the-shelf. This means that they can get standard designs shipped out on the same day, at a lower cost than normal. Most of the slides are used to calibrate optical equipment, and we hope to add to the product line in the coming months. We’d be happy to hear from any customer that has ideas for further designs.
