EAO extends portfolio with new illuminated selector switch and keylock switch

Products

UK Human Machine Interface (HMI) specialist, EAO, has extended its popular Series 82 family of vandal-resistant pushbutton switches for 24/230-volt applications in harsh environments with the addition of an innovative illuminated selector switch and a rugged keylock security switch.

With high-quality stainless-steel housing the new Series 82 illuminated switch is built for strength and durability. It features clearly perceptible tactile feedback that delivers intuitive and safe user guidance while the bright LED illuminated actuator – available in various colours – ensures clear visibility of the switching positions in all lighting conditions. The housing of the new Series 82 selector switch is machined with a ‘D’ shaped profile that both ensures its precise positioning in the panel and prevents it from rotating in use. Additional features include an enhanced level of corrosion resistance and environmental protection that renders the new switch ideal for use in harsh and demanding environments.

“With the addition of the new selector and keylock switches to the popular Series 82 range EAO is now offering design engineers a comprehensive suite of visually complementary devices that provide most of the switching functions needed on modern industrial machinery and equipment control panels,” said Robert Davies, marketing manager with EAO.

Typical applications include machine controls, switching between production steps, operating modes or system functions, control of signal and display units, operation of door and gate systems, and more.

Designed for the optimal prevention of accidental operation and/or unauthorised access even in harsh industrial environments, EAO’s new Series 82 keylock switch targets applications requiring access authorisation in a wide variety of safety-related functions. Like the selector switch in EAO’s latest product release, the new keylock switch features a ‘D’ shaped profile that both ensures its precise positioning in the panel and prevents the switch from rotating when the key is turned. Its stainless-steel construction is sealed to IP645.
