Manufacturer of high-performance system-on-module (SOM) solutions, SolidRun, has introduced a new P100 COM Express Type 6 module family built around AMD Ryzen AI Embedded P100 processors. The new series is aimed at mobile platforms and harsh, mission-critical environments in the industrial automation, transportation, medical systems and robotics sectors.

Our new P100 COM Express Type 6 modules are built to deliver powerful AI performance at the edge while improving the mechanical durability and serviceability product developers need to deploy confidently in these environments.”
The platform has been designed so engineers and OEMs can repair, swap, upgrade or service memory more easily, while also improving resistance to the real-world failure modes that show up in moving systems.
Screw-lock retention reduces connector movement in mobile platforms and improves vibration tolerance.
Fast AI and sensor data processing is enabled through the high-bandwidth LPDDR5X-class performance (up to 8533-9600MT/s).
Among the key applications that the platforms is aimed at are mobile robotics, transportation and rail systems, industrial automation and machine vision, medical systems, and more.
The SolidRun P100 COM Express Type 6 module family is supported with the HoneyComb evaluation platform, both available now.
