Smiths Connectors, a world-leading provider of high performance interconnect solutions for the most demanding applications, will be exhibiting at DSEi 2013, gathering from September 10th to September 13th at ExCel Centre, in London (Stand S5-285).
Amongst its broad range of interconnect products, Smiths Connectors will be featuring its new generation of high density, low-profile connectors, the Hypertac Micro SnapTac Series. This latest innovation in Smiths Connectors’ extensive portfolio incorporates all of the tried and tested features and benefits that have been built into the SnapTac connector family, and delivers a light-weight, robust, and reliable solution for Future Combat Soldier Systems.
Smiths Connectors will also feature its innovative, high-speed, high-density Hypertac KVPX connector series. The KVPX Series enhances the company’s ruggedized standards-compliant interconnect portfolio of connectors designed for the demanding requirements of defence, space and commercial aviation applications. KVPX is fully footprint compatible with VITA 46 and VITA 48 Standards and delivers outstanding performance under a variety of extreme environmental conditions.
Another innovation launched at DSEi is the IDI Dovetail® modular connector series. Dovetail has been developed to address the rugged environmental requirements of the Defence and Commercial Aviation markets, as well as demanding industrial electronics applications. The high-grade spring probes that are embodied in the Dovetail® ensure excellent superior performance in environments that include shock, vibration and extreme temperatures. The Dovetail connector features a compact modular housing, a very light weight, blind mating, instant prototyping, and the unique flexibility and adaptability that affords users the opportunity to design exactly the configurations that they desire into their particular products.
Finally, a new range of 50Ohm RF Coaxial connectors with exceptional high frequency performance is now available at Smiths Connectors. The innovative Hypertac RF range is the consequence of the substantial investment in RF simulation software and verification hardware to support the development of High Frequency Coaxial and High Speed Digital contact and connector technologies. It is particularly suitable for defence applications, typically high resolution radar (airborn, land and man portable), real time video and communications.
