Mouser Electronics is now stocking Si88x2x Dual Digital Isolators from Silicon Labs. The Si88x2x modules integrate proven digital isolator technology with an on-chip isolated DC-DC converters to provide regulated output voltages of 3.3V or 5.0V at peak output power of up to 5W with external power switch. The Silicon Labs Si88x2x Dual Digital Isolators include a DC/DC controller with user-adjustable frequency for minimizing emissions, a soft-start function for safety, shutdown option and loop compensation.
The Si88x2x modules’ topology allows them to sense the output voltage on the secondary side without requiring additional optocouplers and support circuitry to bias those optocouplers. This allows the DC-DC converter to operate with excellent line and load regulation while reducing external components and increasing lifetime reliability.
