RS Components (RS) has entered into a distribution partnership with London technology creators Bare Conductive by adding Bare Conductive’s Electric Paint and the Arduino-based Touch Board to its stock. These innovative products provide cost-effective and easy-to-use choices for professional engineers as well as hobbyists.
Electric Paint is electrically conductive, non-toxic, solvent-free and water soluble, suitable for use as a liquid wire, a cold-soldering medium, or even as a conductive adhesive. It works with low-voltage DC power sources, it makes a unique microcontroller interface, it can be used as a capacitive sensor or potentiometer and it’s compatible with many standard printing processes. It can be applied to a variety of uses, including novelty ones. In addition, Bare Conductive’s Touch Board microcontroller board integrates a capacitive touch chip, MP3 player, SD Card slot, Li-Po battery charger and 12 electrodes. The electrodes can be connected directly to conductors, such as Electric Paint pads, to trigger sounds via the MP3 player or other functions such as wireless communication or motor control added using an Arduino expansion shield.
